How do I know if my article is scholarly peer-reviewed?

Answer

Scholarly or peer-reviewed articles are those that are reviewed by experts from their related field(s) and published in academic journals.

Scholarly peer-reviewed journal articles can be identified by the following characteristics:

1. Typically written by an expert or educationalist in the field like professor(s) or researcher(s).

2. Published by a professional association, university, hospitals or academic publishers.

3. They may use technical languages and are highly specialized

4. The article will cite all their sources and provide appropriate bibliographic references.

5. The contents will have a good layout and may include tables and graphs.

You can also check your article's source or Journal through Ulrichsweb. If you accessing the link outside the campus, please use UCQ credentials to login into the site.
